Following a judgment of the Court of First Instance of Brussels, ο John Rabbit will be published in Greece. Yannis Lagos has until Monday to appeal. If he does not appeal the decision, he will arrive in Greece in 7-10 days.
In particular, in a written announcement the prosecution Brussels states:
«Following several questions about the European arrest warrant issued by the Greek judicial authorities against Ioannis Lagoux, the Brussels Prosecutor's Office can confirm the following:
The Pre-Trial Chamber of the Dutch-speaking Court of First Instance in Brussels ruled today on the European arrest warrant for I.L. The European arrest warrant declared executable. The duration of the appeal (appeal) expires on Monday. For obvious security reasons, the delivery date cannot be communicated.».
On Tuesday 28 May, the Belgian prosecutor decided to remand him in custody John Rabbit, until the Belgian courts decide on the merits of his appeal against the non-execution of the European arrest warrant. A day earlier, on 27 May, he had been arrested at his home in Brussels, following the European Parliament's decision to lift his immunity. Ο John Rabbit has been convicted in Greece for directing a criminal organisation in the Golden Dawn trial.
