For the third year, the award-winning Greek short films from the Drama International Short Film Festival and the Athens International Film Festival Premiere Nights come to the onassis.org and on the Onassis Channel on YouTube.
The Onassis Foundation collaborates again with the Athens International Film Festival Premiere Nights and the Drama International Short Film Festival and brings to our screens the Greek short films awarded in 2021 from 9 to 15 June.
The films screened in the tribute Feature Films Short Films 2022were created during the pandemic, a living proof that the new Greek cinema finds a way to survive even in difficult conditions. The award-winning films, which will be broadcast digitally for one week through the platform of the onassis.org, stood out for their unique perspective on social and existential issues of today, presenting stories full of ideas, different opinions and deep concerns.
«The free writing of this year's films and their exploration in different directions is an optimistic sign in an era that seems to be returning to more conservative forms of expression» says the Jury of the National Competition of the International Short Film Festival Drama 2021. «This year's award-winning films stood out for their powerful visualization of dystopian worlds, subversive prose, vibrant, restless and brave portrayal of the new generation» notes the National Competition Jury of the Athens International Film Festival Premiere Nights 2021.
