The Kythira-Antikythira Local Property Committee announces that on September 10, 2025, at noon, an autopsy was performed in the wider area of Pitsinades, at the starting point of the fire on 26-7-25, by the technical advisor we appointed, together with the undersigned, in order to determine the exact cause of the fire.The autopsy was lengthy, thorough, and accurate.
The dismantling (removal) certain overhead power distribution lines for further examination in certified laboratories in Greece or, if necessary, abroad, as well as full disclosure of the 2021 and 2017 case files on the fires that started at approximately the same location.
The dismantling (removal) will take place in the presence of our technical advisor, and the transport will be accompanied by our representative. We are continuing to work with the Municipality of Kythira to take all necessary legal action to ensure that the cause of the fire is identified in a fully scientific and indisputable manner.
