The General Secretariat for Trade and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Development and Investment informs consumers, diagnostic laboratories and private clinics that, as of Thursday, January 6, 2022, the maximum price limits (ceilings) for diagnostic testing using the PCR method as follows:
1. Maximum price limit for service provision (sample analysis, etc.), including the necessary reagents and consumables, is thirty-five (35) euros.
2. Maximum charge for sampling in private diagnostic laboratories and private clinics: twelve (12) euros.
The above-mentioned maximum charging limits do not apply in cases where sampling is carried out outside private diagnostic laboratories and private clinics, in which case their price is set freely.
The above will be provided for in a Decision by the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, which is currently in the process of being issued.
