Dozens of residents are currently being transported from Lake Evia to the Aidipsos Baths, as the flames have cut off the roads and the only way out is by sea.
Two ferry boats, the Alykon and the Paralos, as well as two coast guard vessels, are participating in the evacuation operation. The majority of the citizens are elderly, resulting in considerable delays in the process.
The thriller continues at the lake in northern Euboea. A short while ago, the flames returned to Lake Evia, and residents are currently being evacuated by boat, as there is no other way out except by sea, since all the surrounding roads have been engulfed in flames.
Earlier, the fire entered the village of Daphne, trapping residents and firefighters, who managed to escape the flames after superhuman efforts.

Now, the village of Kechries is surrounded on all sides, while traffic has been cut off on the road to Agia Anna and to Limni, which is surrounded by flames.
The same front that is now returning from Strofylia and Kirinthos back towards Limni threatens Mourtia, which has been ordered to evacuate.
On the northern side, another front is advancing from Kalamoudi and Paleochori back towards Rovies, threatening to cross the road this time north of Rovies and destroy what had not been destroyed previously. Strong forces have gathered at that point.
On the Aegean side, after Kirinthos, a fire front is moving towards Mantoudi, while the winds are directing the flames towards Zoodochos Pigi, where the battle is being fought.
