Due to the Easter holidays, a news story went unnoticed and unnoticed by those who would like to promote it:
At the American air base in Ramstein, Germany, a meeting was held on Easter Sunday of the Orthodox, meeting convened by US Secretary of Defense L. Austin, with the participation of defense ministers and Joint Chiefs of Staff from 40 countries on the war in Ukraine.
The meeting, which took place in view of the visit of the US Secretaries of State and Defense to Ukraine, Defence Ministers and Chiefs of Defence and Chiefs of Naval Staff from non-NATO countries from all corners of the globe, including Australia and Japan. Also participating were countries that are called on 16 May to make a final decision on their membership of the North Atlantic Alliance, such as Finland (whose Prime Minister is visiting Greece on Thursday and meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis) and Sweden.
Of course, our country could not be absent from the meeting, as the Minister of Defence participated, Nikos Panagiotopoulos and the Chief of Naval Operations, General Konstantinos Floros.
Information insists that Washington is now squeezing the Greek government to re-provide weapons systems to Ukraine, as other European countries are pushing. For Russian-made weapons, even for the S-300 (similar pressure is being exerted in Nicosia), but also for weapons systems located on our islands, such as the OSA and TORMI.
The Mitsotakis government fears the political cost of sending upgraded military equipment to Ukraine, but competent sources do not rule out the possibility of such an action in the end. Moreover, the Mitsotakis-Biden meeting on 16 May is imminent...
