The farmers' blockade in Nice continues to be reinforced, with the Athens-Thessaloniki national highway remaining closed today, while traffic is being diverted via detours designated by the traffic police.
New tractors and agricultural machinery are constantly arriving at the site, with more expected to arrive in the next 24 hours, further increasing participation.
The farmers of the Thessaly blockade have decided to remain in place, while addressing the government and demanding solutions to their basic demands: high production costs, low product prices, and the need for immediate payment of subsidies.
At the same time, farmers are preparing to hold a demonstration in the city center tomorrow, Thursday, ahead of the December 4 trial of their colleagues who were arrested in the recent riots, with the aim of expressing their solidarity in practice.
It should be noted that yesterday, local farmers staged a symbolic protest in Larissa's central square, throwing milk, straw, and corn in front of the courthouse. With this action, they wanted to highlight the difficulties of production, the increased costs and the problems they face, but also to emphasize that the primary sector is a vibrant and necessary part of society.
