The weather will deteriorate on Saturday afternoon (10-12-2022) from the northwest and gradually until Sunday evening (11-12-2022) in the rest of the country, with the main characteristics of heavy showers and thunderstorms accompanied by local hailstorms and gusty southerly winds.
More specifically:
- From Saturday afternoon (10-12-2022) heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast on the Ionian Islands, Epirus, western Sterea, from the evening in western Peloponnese, western Macedonia, western parts of Thessaly, central Sterea and from the night in eastern Peloponnese (mainly in its southern parts).
It is noted that the phenomena during the night in Epirus, western Sterea, western Peloponnese and western parts of Thessaly will be particularly intense.
- On Sunday (11-12-2022) heavy showers and thunderstorms are predicted
a) in the above mentioned areas until early afternoon
b) in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the eastern Aegean Sea from midday to evening hours
c) in the Dodecanese from the afternoon until late at night
d) in the Cyclades and Crete in the afternoon and evening hours
- Gusty southerly winds 7 to 8 and on Sunday mainly in the central and northern Aegean Sea locally up to 9 Beaufort.
