The President of the Republic was vaccinated at 14:00 on Sunday afternoon, while the vaccination of a nurse of the Evangelismos and an elderly man had been done before.
After her vaccination, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou was photographed with the medical and nursing staff of the hospital who wished her «happy birthday».
In a statement, she said that «this Christmas, science gave us the greatest gift of all. Η E.U. proved that it is a community of solidarity. All hospital workers will now have to implement the vaccination programme, but next to the anxiety there can be a smile of optimism.».
