The priest Evangelos Lourantos from Drimonas passed away on Sunday 9 January 2022. The priest was hospitalized at the «Evangelismos» Hospital in Athens for the last few days. The event spread the grief in Drymonas and the island. The beloved priest of the island was ordained in 1976 and served for more than 40 years in the parishes of the island.
The announcement of the Holy Metropolis of Kythera
Today, Monday 10/1/2022 in the evening, a Holy Vigil will be held at the Parish Church of St. Mary of Drymon (from 8.30 p.m. to 2 a.m.), presided over by Mons. Seraphim, our Pastor, and the priests of our island. During the Holy Vigil, the long Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of the relic of the ever-deceased Fr.
The common Funeral Mass will be held tomorrow Tuesday 11/1/2022, at 10.30 am at the Holy Church of St. Mary Mary of Drymonos with the participation of the Holy Clergy and the people. The blessed Priest Fr.Evangelos Lourantos was ordained in 1976 and served as Pastor in the Parishes of Kastrisians - Friligians (initially) and later in the Parishes of Karvounades, Keramotos and Drymonos. He also served as General Archpriest Commissioner of the Holy Metropolis of Kythera and Antikythera during the Archdiocese of the last three Metropolitans.
