Journalist Antonis Kokorikos has passed away

Journalist and author Antonis Kokorikos has died at the age of 67.

Antonis Kokorikos was a member of the ESIEA (Union of Journalists of Athens Daily Newspapers) and had worked since 1982 in national media outlets, radio stations, and newspapers. Among other things, he worked at ERT, SKAI, STAR, ALTER, SKAI radio stations, NITRO, Alpha, Flash, and the newspapers Kathimerini and Avgi.

The news was announced by the Movement of Professional Journalists in a post on its Facebook page.

«Difficult news amid the festive atmosphere. Antonis Kokorikos passed away a short while ago. He is traveling to eternal light. Rest in peace, brother. And see you again soon...

Antonis's significant contribution to the forefront of Greek society's democratic demands, as well as his trade union demands with the Movement of Professional Journalists, mark an entire era,» the post states, among other things.
