From tomorrow, November 1, until Saturday, November 6, students of all grades will receive a pack of five free self-diagnostic tests (self-tests) from pharmacies, in order to meet the needs of the days from November 5 to 22 and to come to school, according to the instructions of experts, said an announcement.
Also, from tomorrow, the declaration and the result for public school units will be declared on the new platform edupass.gov.gr (and not on the platform of self-testing.gov.gr), from which new platform the School Card for COVID-19 will be issued.
Recall that:
* the self-test takes place up to 24 hours before school on Tuesdays and Fridays,
* screening for the new coronavirus through a self test is mandatory for students,
* A negative self-test certificate must be carried by students who do not have a vaccination certificate (for students 12 years old and above) or a certificate of past illness (last semester),
* vaccinated students are not entitled to free self-tests, as they are not required to perform them unless there is a special reason (i.e. an outbreak in a classmate),
* the free availability of self test from pharmacies is only during working days and hours, so that during overnight stays and overnight stays they can serve emergency needs.
The edupass.gov.gr platform currently only concerns public school units. Parents/guardians of students attending private schools will continue to declare their self-test results on the self-testing.gov.gr platform and issue the School Card for COVID-19, following exactly the same procedure they have been following until now.
