Within 2021 the walking paths of the municipality will be ready to be delivered for use Skiathos, of a total length exceeding 100 km. Recently completed the study of the project, undertaken by the Paths of Greece and includes the reorganization of the entire network of the island's paths, the improvement of the passability, the placement of appropriate signage and of course the promotion activities. Speaking to the Hotel & Restaurant Daily the co-founder of the Joint. Paths of Greece co-founder Phoebus Tsaravopoulos revealed an innovation of the project. «As part of the development of the Skiathos trail network, the creation of a route accessible to disabled people is also planned. It is the first time in Greece that a route accessible to disabled people will be part of an official network of paths.» said Mr Tsaravopoulos.
The routes cover the entire historical and cultural wealth The trail network has been divided into 15 routes. «They cover the whole island. The history, the cultural wealth, the nature, the forests and the farmland. Also, a route has been designed to observe aircraft landings and take-offs at the island's airport.» Mr Tsaravopoulos stressed. It is known that Skiathos airport is one of the most unique facilities in the world as the aircraft land very close to the beach and within a stone's throw from the bathers.
