The Livestock Association of Attica Region is optimistic after the experience of Jan 2021 where interested farmers, breeders and stakeholders of the Attica countryside put together the «VISION 2040» submitted to the EU, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management and presented publicly on 14/4/2021.
Since Jan 2022 in open public online discussions every Wednesday at 21.00, eighteen (18) discussions have been held on the «2040 Attica Countryside Agricultural Agreement 2040».
The aim of the Conference for the «AGRICULTURAL AGREEMENT 2040 Attica Countryside» on 18/5/2022, is to formulate proposals so that the consumers themselves, together with the producers-farmers, can compose the conditions for the creation of a new generation of professional farmers, capable, with organized collective action at local, regional, national and European level and, with the greatest possible use of renewable energy sources, to offer agricultural products of certified specifications, which consumers want, and competitive costs, which will determine, per unit of product, the lowest overall environmental burden and the lowest environmental impact.
Η European Commission will consult on all proposals on 15 & 16 June 2022, in Brussels, to formulate its own comprehensive proposals in 2022 so that, with the EU Rural Action Plan, by 2040 the EU's rural areas will be stronger, more connected, more resilient and more prosperous.
