The National Vaccination Committee has issued guidelines for booster vaccinations. These apply to those who have fallen ill before vaccination, after vaccination, and those who have completed their vaccination coverage without having fallen ill.
- Case 1: Illness before vaccination. The first dose of the J&J vaccine. A booster dose is recommended at least 6 months later with one dose of Pfizer, J&J, or half a dose of Moderna.
- Case 2: Illness before vaccination. Vaccination with Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca. A booster dose is recommended at least 6 months later with one dose of Pfizer or half a dose of Moderna.
- Case 3: First dose with Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca. Illness after the first dose of vaccination. Vaccination is recommended 3-6 months after illness with one dose of Pfizer or Moderna (full dose) to complete the vaccination. A booster dose is recommended 6 months after the second dose with 1 dose of Pfizer or Moderna half dose.
- Case 4: Completion of vaccination with J&J. Illness after vaccination. Vaccination is recommended 6 months after illness with one dose of Pfizer, half a dose of Moderna, or J&J.
- Case 5: Completion of vaccination with 2 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca. Illness after vaccination. Vaccination is recommended 6 months after illness with one dose of Pfizer or half a dose of Moderna.
It should be noted that all citizens over the age of 18 are entitled to a booster dose. For individuals who have completed their vaccination with Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccines, the booster dose will be with the Pfizer vaccine or half a dose of Moderna, after 6 months.
For individuals who have completed their vaccination with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the booster dose will be administered with the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, or half a dose of the Moderna vaccine after 2 months.
For individuals who received their first dose with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and their second dose with Johnson & Johnson, a booster dose is not recommended.
The same procedure as for the first and second doses applies to scheduling the appointment for the booster dose.
