There have been 18,834 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, 45 of which were detected during checks at the country's entry points.
The total number of cases is 1,679,705 (daily change +1.1%), of which 49.8% are men. Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 473 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,148 are related to a known case.
There have been 101 new deaths of patients with COVID-19, while a total of 22,087 deaths have been recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.11% had underlying conditions and/or were aged 70 or over.
The number of patients receiving intubated care is 672 (59.51% men). Their median age is 65 years. 79.21% have underlying disease and/or are aged 70 years or older. Among the patients receiving invasive ventilation, 549 (81.71%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 123 (18.31%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,904 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
There have been 472 new COVID-19 admissions to hospitals across the country (daily change -16.16%). The average number of admissions over the seven-day period is 555 patients.
The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
