The government is heavily exposed in the case of Menios Fourthiotis who was found to have 14 police officers in his custody.
Ο Michalis Chrysochoidis managed to contradict himself when he announced that, thanks to his «intervention,» the police officers assigned to guard the presenter were being withdrawn. A minor detail is that just last Wednesday, March 24, the GADA stated in an announcement that «the protection of journalists has no connection with reality.».
As announced by the Hellenic Police Headquarters, following the «intervention of Michalis Chrysochoidis, the chief, Lieutenant General Michalis Karamalakis, instructed the relevant committee to reassess the decision to grant Menios Fourthiotis a police escort.».
Following the committee meeting, it was decided to withdraw all police officers from both the home those from escort by Menios Fourthiotis.
It should be noted that earlier, arrest warrants had been issued for Pavlos Polakis, Kostas Vaxevanis, and the police officers who had revealed that Menios Fourthiotis had a security detail.

- Is it true that 14 police officers have been assigned to guard Mr. Fourthiotis, and that this is happening in areas of eastern Attica where thefts are a daily occurrence, with police stations so understaffed that they cannot even cover their regular shifts?;
- Is it true that he has been given two armored cars?;
- Who and why, from the political or natural leadership of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, as alleged, has approved security for the well-known Menios Fourthiotis, with a record number of 14 police officers and 2 armored cars, for what reason and on what criteria was this approved?;
- Why is he still being guarded despite the harshly critical statement issued by the Police Officers' Union?;
- Who is providing him with this scandalous protection and unacceptable behavior, allowing the arrest of a photojournalist who was doing his job and lawsuits against a SYRIZA MP, journalists, local government officials, and even police officers?;
Ultimately, what is it that connects the Mitsotakis government with Mr. Fourthiotis?;
