The Holy Metropolis of Kythira and Antikythira announces the official celebration of the island's patron saint, Panagia Myrtidiotissa, which will take place on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the holy shrine of Panagia Myrtidiotissa. The island of Kythira celebrates this great religious feast with great fanfare, honoured by a multitude of faithful and representatives of the local and central administration. INVITATION
The 24the September e.e. The island of Kythira celebrates the birth of Christ with great fanfare and festivities. Poliochou, Her patron saint and protector, Panagia Myrtidiotissa to the Holy Monastery of the same name.
According to the program, on Monday evening, the 23rdof current month and about 7:00 p.m. will sing Great Archiepiscopal Vespers, with the Most Reverend Bishop of Lacedaemon presiding Mr. Theofilou. Tín Tuesday morning, On the main day of the feast, the Orthros and the Solemn Divine Liturgy with Archiepiscopal Concelebration, led by His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Samos and Ikaria. Mr. Eusebius and it will follow Procession of the Holy Icon of the Virgin Mary of Myrtidiotissa up to the outer enclosure of the Holy Monastery.
