The Coast Guard has been conducting a preliminary investigation since Monday morning, recording the migrants - refugees, whose vessel was anchored at Cape Trachila in the early hours of Sunday, October 2.
These are 11 families from Afghanistan, a total of 47 people, including 15 children. The children include 2 infants. The arrivals were provided with mattresses and blankets by volunteers for their overnight stay in the mooring shed on Sunday night.
The migrants have gathered at the Kapsaliou pier and, upon completion of their registration and identification, they are expected to depart for Athens. To this end, they have already arrived at the point in the patrol boat of the Coast Guard «Gavdos 090» as well as another vessel.
It should be noted that once again the mobilization of the Tsirigoi community was moving, with food and essentials being collected throughout the weekend.
