Η Canada Goose, a company known for its outerwear—winter coats—announced that it would stop using real animal fur in its products.
In April, the winter clothing brand issued a statement clarifying that will no longer purchase fur from hunters who set traps for animals and will instead begin recycling fur elements.
However, after much debate, the Canadian brand announced that it would completely end its fur purchases this year and stop creating clothing items using the material by the end of 2022.
Asked to comment on whether animal rights activists« campaigns had contributed to this commitment, Canada Goose President Danny Rice told The New York Times: »Our primary focus has always been on producing products that offer exceptional quality, protection from the elements, and meet the exact needs of consumers.«.
