Brian Johnson's autobiography, «The Lives Of Brian,» is set to be released next month.
It was initially announced that the book about the life of the AC/DC frontman would be ready in April 2021.
The memoirs, entitled «The Lives Of Brian,» have been described as «turbulent, endearing, and full of outrageous stories.».
«I've had some long nights and some wonderful nights, bad days and many good ones,» Brian Johnson said in a statement. «Now I've gone and written a crazy book about it... “The Lives of Brian” is coming out this October,» he added.
The Lives Of Brian is set to be released by Penguin Books in the UK on October 13 and in the US on October 25.
The book, described as «one of the most enjoyable and entertaining stories of rock »n« roll,« will cover Johnson's childhood, who grew up in the town of Dunston in northeast England and »a member of the choir and a »cub scout' in the Boy Scouts" to becoming a singer after seeing Little Richard perform on television.
«For over a decade, Johnson tried to make his mark with a series of bands. He appeared on the British television music program Top of the Pops, toured Australia, and yet his big break seemed far away,» the summary states.
«He was then invited to London to audition for one of the world's most important rock bands. AC/DC was a band in crisis after the tragic death of their singer, Bon Scott, but with Brian at the helm, they recorded their masterpiece: «Back in Black.» It became the best-selling rock album of all time. The tour that followed filled arenas,» it is noted.
«But there had to be a twist in the story. In 2016, Brian was forced to leave the band after being diagnosed with hearing loss, only to make a triumphant return to the band he loved with the release of their 2020 album “Power Up,”» it notes.
Brian Johnson recently participated in a tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at Wembley Stadium.
