Johnny Depp will not return to Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney's sixth film, despite rumors that he would once again play the role of the legendary Jack Sparrow.
It all started with an article in The Sun newspaper that said the sixth sequel to the franchise, titled A Day At The Sea, was in the works, claiming: «Johnny is set to return as Captain Jack Sparrow, and filming is scheduled to begin in early February at a top-secret location in the UK.» The source also said: «Everything is in the early stages and there is no director attached to the project, which will be called »A Day At The Sea«. Johnny is expected to do a test shoot in early February before production begins.“.
