Interview with Christoforos Boutsakis on the radio station «KANALI 1»

Christos Boutsakis, Member of Parliament for Piraeus and the Islands for the New Democracy party, gave an interview on Friday, October 14, to radio station KANALI 1 and journalist Nikos Bardounias.

Among other things, the MP referred to the major issue of price increases and inflationary trends, explaining that the Greek government is addressing the issue with planning, strategy, and sensible policies without resorting to demagogic rhetoric. He then stressed that the high cost of products is due to external factors, specifically fluctuations in fuel prices, which affect transportation costs.

«Government policy focuses on taking measures to ensure accuracy, which fuels precision, through fair support for households, businesses, and income against price increases. This is in contrast to what Mr. Tsipras had accustomed us to, proposing to “throw” the state's cash reserves into the market, without a trace of realism and without realizing the consequences that such a move would cause.».

The MP commented on the developmental progress attributed to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' policy, the investment boom observed in the country, and the confidence shown by global business giants.

He concluded that the dilemma of the upcoming elections will be between New Democracy and real progress, or opposition parties lacking ideas, innovation, and planning, stuck in outdated perceptions.
