As far as schools are concerned, there is so far no specific «flight plan», with the government oriented towards the reopening of the large-scale tiers in a first stage. It should be noted that an update on the functioning of the courts is expected by Thursday, 18/03.
Given that all of the above is expected to burden a National Health System that is under suffocating pressure, the Greek government has prepared the ground for the private sector to enter the battle against Covid.
Already, the private clinic «Henry Dunant» has been put on call as supporting hospital for non-Covid cases, while the Sismanoglio now exclusively accepts Covid patients. The hospitals «Leto» and Medical of Peristeri were incorporated in the 1st and 2nd Health Region respectively as treatment centres against coronavirus, and to these will be added a private Rehabilitation Centre for virus patients who will need support with physiotherapy.
