Publications hosted on online news sites located on the... right of the NW talk about a «dip» of the Southwest in the findings of two secret, as they say, polls and moving disillusioned voters even... further to the right.
According to the text posted, among other things, on antinews.gr, a website that expresses the «hardline component» of the Southwest, crashonline.gr and pronews.gr, the government has in its hands two secret polls that «show that the Southwest has retreated in terms of voting intention, even with a reduction of the undecided, significantly below 30% which had been counted by two foreign embassies last February the electoral influence of the ruling party.
One of the two secret polls shows ND «returning» to the familiar «waters» of 25% and the second one gives it slightly higher, at 27%», as noted.
The reasons for the «blue» retreat can be traced back to two factors: the government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, but also on the issue of North Macedonia. Traditional ND fans and voters seem to be irritated by the fact that Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his party (contrary to what they claimed before the 2019 elections) have embraced the «Prespa Agreement», accusing the government of «building» on the Agreement and «deceives its voters».
At the same time, as noted in the text, the bulk of the disillusioned right-wing voters of the Southwest seems to be moving towards the side of Kyriakos Velopoulos, the party of Tzimeros - Kranidiotis, but also to the two newly formed parties of Giorgos Trangas (Movement of Free People) and Ilias Kasidiaris.
