Through Grandma's Farm, as he calls the project he is implementing, has made the dream of a better quality of life a reality.
Panagiotis Zafeiropoulos, now 40 years old and a family man, completed his studies in 2012 as an electrical engineer, but did not follow the beaten path. Instead, he chose to work in the primary sector of production, specifically livestock farming.

For this reason, and without joining a youth program, as he tells us, he managed to get his business into the Development Program and absorb funds for his unit. Today, almost a decade later, he has achieved a lot and is optimistically planning his next steps.
«Today, we have 450 animals at the farm, including sheep, goats, Laconia sheep, and Zane goats. They are really very productive animals, as they say, but they also have high food requirements. Personally, I have a production of around 150 tons, 70 of which are goat milk, which has recently become very popular and well known to the public. I have Laconic goats that produce up to 450 kg of milk per year, while the Zane goats exceed 1,100 kg. All this, of course, and especially this intensive form of livestock farming, has high demands, especially in terms of feed, but also other care. But in the end, the balance is positive, especially in years like these, with milk prices relatively good.‘ he emphasizes in Agronewsbomb Panagiotis Zafeiropoulos, who, it should be noted, is forced to purchase all the necessary food from the market, as he does not grow his own.
With regard to the behavior of animals in these two breeds, he notes that no matter how good the conditions are, when we are not talking about herd farming, livestock require special management in order to perform at their best.
It is worth noting that Panagiotis has joined forces with seven other producers in the region to negotiate milk prices, and in the near future, he says, they all intend to make this group more official.

Finally, Panagiotis, who also trades in live animals of these two breeds, tells us that he plans to expand his business in the near future and enter the cheese-making industry, as well as the goat milk industry, which is in high demand.
