Rain and thunderstorms are expected starting on «Ballos» Storm» for the remainder of the day, with the strongest winds expected in Thrace, Macedonia, Central Greece, the Peloponnese, the southern Ionian Sea, and the northern and eastern Aegean. The phenomena will gradually subside, mainly in the northern and western parts of the country.
There is a chance of hail in the Aegean and Ionian Seas, as well as in coastal areas of the Peloponnese, Eastern Central Greece, and possibly Chalkidiki. In the eastern parts of the Aegean, the hail is likely to be large.
On the night of Friday, October 15, through Saturday, October 16, according to the weather forecast from the National Observatory of Athens, the phenomena will be weaker and will mainly affect Thrace, Macedonia, Central Greece, the Peloponnese, the southern Ionian Sea, and the Aegean Sea.
In the Aegean Sea, southerly winds of 5 to 7 Beaufort are expected. In the northern Ionian Sea, easterly winds of 5 to 7 Beaufort are expected until the early evening hours, but will subsequently shift to northwesterly winds of 4 to 6 Beaufort. In the Southern Ionian Sea, southwesterly winds of 6 to 8 Beaufort, locally up to 9 Beaufort, are initially expected, but from the early evening hours they will shift to northwesterly winds of 5 to 7 Beaufort.
Temperatures will not exceed 18–21 degrees on the mainland, in the Ionian Sea, and in the northern Aegean, and 24–26 degrees in the rest of the island regions.
