The bomb of the agreement OPEN which announced USA-UK and Australia, has outraged the France and has “crumpled” his “leadership profile” Macron which has elections in 2022!
The French prestige has also been damaged by the loss of the huge submarine contract for Australia from the Naval Group. It's not just prestige, of course, but also money...
It doesn't take an expert to understand that this whole scenario has created an opportunity for Greece, on an issue that the government has been dragging its feet on for a year. And that is none other than the selection of a new frigate for the Navy.
The story is well known: the admirals have “voted”, putting the French proposal at the top of their preferences, and are also looking with interest at the Dutch proposal.
The government, again, seems to be tied to the US and Israel for some reasons in the arms race.
Only that, because armaments are not a “personal matter” of each Prime Minister but concern the power of the country, the Maximus building will have to “take it differently” because big trouble is foreseen...
To make a long story short: the French at this juncture are “open” and will therefore be willing to give, if not everything we ask for, at least a lot of what we want. The Greek frigate building programme may be much smaller than the one they lost in Australia to the Americans, but Paris wants to have a success against greedy Washington. The Greek frigates are a very good opportunity.
The question that arises is one: will the Greek government dare to take the step or will it remain, for reasons that will be explained at some point, tied to the American armament chariot, which will turn the Greek Navy into a Coast Guard?;
