In the cultural sphere IANO of Athens will be located at Friday, December 19, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., the author Vasilis X. Spiliotopoulos to sign copies of his new historical novel «A stowaway for life» released by Kapa Publishing.
The plot of Vasilis Spiliotopoulos« book »Stowaway of a Lifetime" concerns the The story of a Russian former muzhik (peasant) who relives his life through the political and social upheavals in Russia from the end of the 19th century until the October Revolution.. It is a historical novel which explores the search for authenticity in a period of transition and contradictions, focusing on the fall of the tsarist regime and the hopes and disappointments brought about by the Revolution, through the eyes of a man who feels he is «traveling» uncertainly through life.
The signing event at IANO gives the public the opportunity to meet the author in person and discuss his work.
Vasilis Spiliotopoulos' book was, for him, the breath of a cancer patient longing for life.
The proceeds will be donated to ELPIDA, the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer.
