It is the first covid-free island in Greece. All residents were vaccinated after the government's strategic decision to turn Kastelorizo into a covid–free Destination, attractive for tourists. Already many foreign travel agencies have turned their gaze to this beautiful Greek island and the estimate is that this year there will be increase in tourism by 35%.

A similar increase is expected in domestic tourism, which drives the island market in the years of the pandemic.

The prices are the most attractive in Greece. No, to have a quality holiday in Kastelorizo you don't need to spend a fortune. You can find what you're looking for at prices you won't find anywhere else. The island's businessmen started last year unique offer packages with discounts that even touched the 50%.

More specifically in Kastelorizo, depending on the holiday package you choose (with friends, family holidays or couples) you could get the appropriate discount. And we are not only talking about hotels and rooms to let, but also about restaurants and cafes. And the offers they didn't stop there. Those who took a one-day trip to Kastelorizo had a 50% discount, while three times a week the ferry services from Rhodes to the island were free of charge.

Similar packages will be available this year as well, as traders who are betting on the domestic tourism know that the economic possibilities of visitors after 1.5 years of pandemic and economic bleeding will be limited.

The third and most important reason is the beauty of the island. Kastelorizo is an underrated paradise, as it does not have a famous beach to attract tourists like many other Greek islands. Yet, if you visit and get to know Kastelorizo, you will understand that it has beauties that would be the envy of even the most cosmopolitan islands.

A visit to the ruined medieval castle of the Knights will bewitch you. The same goes for the beautiful Blue Cave which can only be reached by boat.
