Several farmers and representatives of the Central Union of Agricultural Producers (KYD) have raised serious concerns about the eligibility of agricultural land declared by producers to the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS). They report that although they have been vindicated, having lodged an appeal (administrative act) years ago, they remain unpaid.
Such cases are... numerous and have remained pending for decades, explains AgroTypo Mr. Giannis Floridis, from Geotechnical Aegean, leaving many people without payment. It should be noted that such objections are made through administrative acts every year via OPSA. However, although producers have been vindicated following actions by the KYD and without any prior inspection, they remain without payment for several years.
A typical example is that of a farmer who contacted AgroTypos, emphasizing that he submitted an eligibility application in 2020, was approved in 2021, and now in 2022, without any prior inspection, he sees his fields listed as ineligible in the system... There are countless such cases, highlighting the unfair hardship endured by producers over time, who, despite being approved, have to wait years to be paid.
Recently, however, the president of OPEKEPE, Ev. Simandrakos, in a meeting with MP G. Paschalidis, promised that with the new year, many things will be clarified in relation to old subsidies that remain unpaid.
