PRESS RELEASE – NEW DEMOCRACY LOCAL ORGANIZATION OF KYTHIRA
Representing the New Democracy Local Organization of Kythira at the following events:
- Inauguration of a new political office in Peristeri on December 2 by Ms. Maria Syregela, Secretary of the Regional Committee of New Democracy and Member of Parliament for the B2 District of Western Athens
- Attica Region’s Athens Talks Conference, presentation of the new dialogue platform, on the topic ‘People at the Heart of the Modern City,’ on December 3 at the Lighthouse of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, by the Regional Governor of Attica, Mr. Nikos Hardalias, who presented the ’208+1 Projects’ for Attica – New Era: Projects and Actions for a Human-Centered, Sustainable, and Resilient Region. The conference was also attended by distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad, government officials, academics, business leaders, institutional bodies, and representatives of local government, such as Minister of State Mr. Akis Skertsos, the President of the European Committee of the Regions, Mr. Vasco Alves Cordeiro, the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis; the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis; Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, Minister of Tourism; Mr. Theodoros Livaniou, Minister of the Interior; Ms. Lina Mendoni, Minister of Culture; and the President of the Paris Region, Ms. Valerie Pecresse.
- Interactive Wheelchair Basketball Game, honoring the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an event organized by the New Democracy Party’s Secretariat for People with Disabilities and the Panhellenic Association of Paraplegics on December 4 at the Aigaleo Indoor Gymnasium «Stavros Venetis,» where professional basketball players competed alongside anyone who wanted to experience this unique opportunity to step into the shoes of our fellow citizens, even if only for a short while. Ms. Maria Syregela, Secretary of the New Democracy Regional Committee and Member of Parliament for the B2 District of Western Athens, also delivered a greeting. Also present were the Mayor of Aegaleo, Mr. Sklavounos, Mr. Theocharis, Member of Parliament for the Southern Sector of Athens (New Democracy), and Mr. Livanos, Member of Parliament for Piraeus B (New Democracy).
When considering all of the above collaborations, the effort being made to build a modern Greece is truly remarkable.
