Twenty-two years after running aground on Prasonisi, just outside the port of Diakofto, the wreck of the ship Nordland continues to captivate and spark the imagination.
On Thursday afternoon, the Akra Malea diving center published a series of photos from a recent diving expedition to the site of the passenger ship's final resting place, which capsized and sank at the beginning of the new millennium because, according to the urban “myth” of the time, the crew showed an excessive attachment to alcoholic beverages on that fateful night.
