European Parliament freezes ratification of the EU-US trade agreement

The European Parliament has decided to suspend the ratification process for the trade agreement between the European Union and the United States, following Donald Trump’s latest threats regarding Greenland, the main political groups confirmed today.

There is a «majority consensus» among political groups to “freeze” the trade agreement reached last year between the U.S. and the EU, said Iratxe García Pérez, president of the Socialists and Democrats, speaking to reporters.
