With the central slogan «No to the working Middle Ages, hands off the 8-hour working day», the ADEDY, the ECA, trade unions and trade unions also gathered from 11:00 at the Klathmonos Square in the direction of the march towards Syntagma.

The appointment for the joint strike mobilisation was made in at 11 am at Claythmonos Square by the Athens Labour and Employment Centre of Athens (ADEDY). The huge march was attended by trade unions and labour organisations, student associations, anti-authoritarian collectives and thousands of workers from all sectors.
The rally is attended by both the SYRIZA as well as the MERA 25. For the opposition party, both the president and former prime minister are present, Alexis Tsipras, as well as influential party members such as Euclid Tsakalotos, Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou, Nikos Pappas, Panos Skourletis, Yannis Mouzalas and Thanos Moraitis.

«While around the world the pandemic is leading governments to realize that the needs of the people, human life it is over profits, in Greece the Mitsotakis government is moving in the exact opposite direction,» Alexis Tsipras said in his statement.

The Secretary General of the C.E. of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas, who also attended, said: «After a decade of continuous anti-labour measures by the governments of ND, PASOK, SYRIZA, the current government comes to deliver a crushing blow to all workers» rights. We are all here today united, because we are fighting to abolish all the anti-worker laws of ND, PASOK and SYRIZA. Because we refuse the 10-hour work. Because we must not table this Hatzidakis bill. Because we defend trade union action and freedom for all workers.
How the public transport will move
