Journalist Dimitris Marsellos, with Theodoros Travasaros behind the camera, visits the studio of the Adelin FM radio station in Agia Pelagia in May 1994. For over 30 years, Adelin FM has been the most popular station in Kythira and Neapoli, featuring live programming, music and news shows, and local news coverage.
In the video, we see the station’s founder and owner, Panagiotis Politis. We see the vinyl records «on air,» which at that time were beginning their decline and were being replaced by the new technology of compact discs. In this documentary, Panagiotis Politis talks about his favorite hobby, radio, the station’s launch in 1988, and the station’s programming featuring Greek music. Also at the station during this interview is Panagiotis’s friend, Fotis, who shares his impressions of Adelin FM and even performs a classic Greek song!
