A heated debate in high tones unfolded in the Parliament between Nikos Androulakis and Kyriakos Pierrakakis, on the occasion of the new bill of the Ministry of Finance.
The PASOK president accused the government of inaction on the issue of accuracy, citing as an example the Cyprus model of zeroing VAT. At the same time, he questioned the «government's narrative» of success in the economy, noting that the election of Pierrakakis to the Eurogroup presidency was due to the sacrifices of citizens and not to government manipulations.
The Finance Minister defended the credibility of the government's measures and attributed his election to the Eurogroup to the international recognition of the national economic course.
