Under draconian security measures, the arrested persons, the vast majority of them Croats, from the bloody incidents in Nea Filadelfia that cost the life of 29-year-old Michalis from a fatal knife wound, were brought to the courts of the former Evelpidon school.
Since early morning, two riot police cars are at the entrance of the courts at the side of building 16, where the Prosecutor's Office is located, while the arrested persons were taken to the courts in three large cars and a van, accompanied by police motorbikes and patrol cars.
The file on the case has already been forwarded to the prosecutor and the prosecution is expected to bring criminal charges that -according to reports- will include serious felony offences.
New arrests
Five more Croatians allegedly involved in the group that caused the bloody incidents in Nea Philadelphia were arrested late Tuesday night in Igoumenitsa, while they were about to travel by boat to Italy, and from there by road to their home country.
Also, the arrest of a 19-year-old Croatian man who was arrested yesterday in Kakavia while he was trying to leave Greece by bus to Tirana was turned into an arrest.
The police have set up roadblocks all over Greece, especially at the exits of the country, in order to arrest all those involved in the bloody incidents that ended in the murder of 29-year-old Michalis, a fan of AEK Athens.
According to reports, at least 50 more Croatian hooligans are estimated to be on the run, while laboratory tests on DNA and other evidence are underway to identify the perpetrator of the murder.
