The 32 year old policeman of the MI.AS team accused of shooting a 16 year old boy in the head during a chase, resulting in the minor being hospitalized in critical condition in the ICU of the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki.
Against the policeman was formed a case for attempted manslaughter, while by decision of the Headquarters of the EL.AS. was suspended and ordered to conduct an Administrative Inquiry.
Meanwhile, tension occurred at night over the shooting of the 16-year-old Roma boy. As it became known, a group of about 50 people gathered at 02.30 at dawn on the Egnatia Odos, near the toll road of Oraiokastro and the stream to Athens, where for two hours they blocked the road, lighting fires on the road and burning tires.
A little earlier, a group of people had gathered on Alliance Road causing damage to two passing vehicles, while damage to a truck was also reported at 3.40am, in the Heights of Diavaton, near a Roma settlement in the area. So far no injuries or any arrests have been reported.
