Once again, PPC has proceeded almost in secret (with reference only to its website) an increase in charges on fixed tariffs. In fact, the increase is very high, as energy charges for kilowatt-hours more than doubled during the day, while charges at night almost triple for those PPC customers who have a night meter.

Specifically, for those who have a fixed billing contract with PPC from August 1 onwards, the charge will rise from 0.245 euros /kWh to 0.561 euros /kWh. For the night-time tariff, the charge is now 0.485 euro /kWh, up from 0.180 euro /kWh.
Moreover, the consumption reduction measures planned by the government, in the direction of the Commission's decision, directly affect popular households, since there will be - voluntarily or compulsorily - rotating power cuts in homes. Thus, in 2022, millions of workers and their families will both have to pay exorbitant bills and have half their homes blacked out by the measures that will be imposed!
It is also noted that a similar (unpleasant) surprise will be received by those consumers who complete their current contracts with PPC and decide to extend their contract, as they will see the energy charge soar from e.g. 0.11 euros /kWh, to 0.561 euros /kWh.
