Results of the 1st Svelta Cup race – Potamos Kythira

The first Svelta Cup competition in Potamos was a great success, with a total of 75 athletes competing in all categories and in both sports.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants, those who traveled to the island for the races, friends and acquaintances in the race support team, the Hellenic Rescue Team – Kythira Branch, the parents who accompanied and encouraged the children and adults, and the people behind the decks who got us going with their music selections. In addition, we would like to thank everyone who helped, either by donating money or products (special mention will be made of everyone at the end of the championship), the entire audience who watched the races, and everyone who believes in and supports this effort. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The next race will take place on December 12 in Karavas, on a magical route in the northern part of the island with lots of Kythera Trails and different routes for each event. If you want to join, please sign up at least one day before the race. Until then, we advise you to train hard as the competition is expected to be fierce. Anyone who does not wish to compete but would still like to contribute to this celebration is welcome to contact us.

Due to confusion, a mistake was made in the elementary school children's running race and they were all awarded prizes in one category. In the next race, the awards will be presented normally according to categories and results. Also, some children paid a participation fee when they should not have. They will be notified so that their money can be refunded.

We apologize for any mistakes and delays that may have occurred. We will strive to improve each time.
