The Board of Directors of Kythira Foundation for Culture and Development (K.I.P.A.) adopted a resolution following the sad news of his death George I. Casimatis, Professor Emeritus of Law and founder of the Foundation. The K.I.P.A. honours the memory of the great jurist and patriot of Kythera, announcing a series of symbolic acts and an event in his honour in the coming year.

The Board of Directors of the Kythira Foundation for Culture and Development,
paying due honor to the Honorary President his,
Decide unanimously :
- That the offices of the K.I.P.A. in Kato Livadi Kythera remain open to the public on Monday 6/10 and Tuesday 7/10, in order to allow anyone who wishes to do so, to share with us in a book of condolences, the grief for the loss of our late Founder and distinguished compatriot, who offered the most to our country.
- That members of the Board attend his funeral on Wednesday 8/10.
- In lieu of a wreath, suggested donations for the Food of the Kythera Nursing Home in his memory.
- That a minute's silence be observed in his memory at the next meeting of the City Council.
- To organise a tribute to his memory in the coming year.
- To post this resolution on the website of the K.I.P.A. and to publish it in the printed and electronic press.
May his memory be eternal.
