Invitation for participation of producers - sellers of primary sector in the Bazaar - Potamos

Ο Municipality of Kythira, having regard to:

Directorate of Market - Directorate of Institutional Trade Regulations - Department of Outdoor Trade, according to which the Sunday Outdoor Market in the settlement «Potamos» of the Municipality of Kythera according to the Decree of 26-03-1927 continues to operate as it is,

9. The May 2020 topographical diagram of the Technical Services Department of the Municipality of Kythera with the spatial distribution of the places, the expected number of them and the dimensions of each place in the Sunday Open Air Market (Bazaar) of Potamos Kythera,

10. The opinion of the Police Station of Potamos Kythera, for the traffic impact of the operation of the Sunday Open Air Market (Bazaar) of Potamos Kythera,

11. The 31/2021 decision of the Kythera Municipal Council (IDA: Ω2MΩΛΨ-HΔZ) which approved the Regulation of the Operation of the Sunday Open Air Market (Bazaar) of Kythera River, ratified by the Decision of the Decentralized Administration of Attica, especially Articles 6 and 7 thereof,

Those entitled to participate in the Sunday Open Air Market (Bazaar) of Kythera River, to submit an application form with the required documents, until 30 September 2021, Thursday, 12:00 noon, at the general protocol of the Municipality.

Specifically:
1. The right to participate in the Sunday Open Air Market has Producers - Sellers of the primary sector and its direct by-products, who have all the legal tax documents and are not licensed farmers' markets, street or stationary trade, if they have a certificate of outdoor trade activity of annual duration. This certificate is issued by the municipality of permanent residence of the producers-sellers concerned. The producer - seller requests from the relevant municipality the issuance of the above certificate, and in his application he attaches. A cash register certificate from TAXIS or an exemption certificate from a competent tax authority, c. A health certificate, where required, d. A photocopy of an Identity Card or Passport, if applicable, e. A valid residence permit, if applicable, f. A valid residence permit, if applicable.

2. The interested party submits to the Municipality an application, attaching the following documents:

a) the open-air trade licence or the certificate of activity, as the case may be, and b) a health booklet in case of food distribution.

3. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, a lottery will be held.

4. After the submission of applications and the end of the procedure, a list of participants for the Sunday Open Air Market is issued, which is posted in the municipal store, in order for those selected to pay the appropriate fees in favor of the Municipality and to issue the approval of participation.

5. Licences are renewable on an annual basis.

PRODUCTS SOLD - CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCTS

The permitted items sold, in accordance with the exception of the law. 4497/2017 possibility provided by the document of the Ministry of Economy and Development (General. Secretariat of Commerce & Consumer Protection - General Directorate of Market - Directorate of Institutional Trade Regulations - Department of Outdoor Trade to the Municipality of Kythera are the following:

1. Kythera olive oil packaged in accordance with the applicable EU and national legislation,

2. All kinds of olive oil derivatives (indicatively: soap, olives, ointments, etc.),

3. Kythera honey standardized and products directly produced by the bee, such as propolis, pollen, royal jelly, honeycomb, etc.

4. Thyme, Oregano, Capers, Sage, Chamomile, Chamomile, Marjoram, Spearmint and in general all kinds of aromatic and medicinal plants and herbs, which are either native to the island of Kythera or cultivated on the island of Kythera. This category also includes the flower of the local plant Sempreviva exclusively in bunches and not as an ornament on articles of tourist or folk art,

5. Kythera oil pastry exclusively with the main ingredient the pure virgin olive oil produced in Kythera (the variation of oil pastries with the addition of other ingredients, in addition to the pure virgin Kythera olive oil as the main ingredient, such as carob, herbs, fruits, etc. is allowed),

6. All kinds of agricultural and horticultural seasonal local products including eggs produced exclusively in Kythera,

7. All kinds of fruits and vegetables exclusively of local production, as well as products directly produced from them (e.g. jams, spoon sweets, pickles, dried fruits, etc.) packaged in accordance with the provisions in force,

8. Products based mainly on milk of local origin (cheese, etc.) produced in accordance with the legislation in force,

9. All kinds of fresh fish and molluscs,

10. Kythera salt exclusively from the legal lessees of the autochthonous salt marshes of the island by the Commission for the Domestic Property of Kythera and Antikythera,

11. Kythera Wine, Kythera Fatourada, Kythera Tsipouro and any kind of traditional drink, which have been produced, bottled and labelled in accordance with the applicable EU and national legislation.

The display, weighing and sale of the above products will be exclusively in environmentally friendly packaging (recyclable or biodegradable or cloth or ecological materials, etc.), in order to avoid further damage to the environment.
