Speaking to ANT1, the head of the consumer association deconstructed one by one the claims of the ND MP that the regulation will absorb 85% of the increases in households. It even made him lose his words and finally admit that he cannot actually say how much the reduction in bills will be, which in any case will be much smaller.
«Stop the lies», G. Lechouritis. «20 golden boys have found the opportunity to commit obscenity at the expense of the Greek people,» he stressed.
«It tells us that as of August 1, the indexation clause will be suspended. Nothing will be suspended,» the INKA president continued. «You will create chaos, both for consumers and companies, so that down the line you will say, “You know what, there are no excess profits because the companies lost”. If every month the consumer changes provider, no one will be able to cut off his electricity. The debts will get to where they are and then you will say “We saved the citizens”,» he said meaningfully.
«Who are you going to save? You're just going to incorporate the indexation clause into the kilowatt-hour so that we as a society can't bring class actions against obscenity. This is the truth, which you are hiding,» he added with intensity.
«And shall I tell you why you are hiding it and why you are lying? Because you were saying the same thing in November 2021. That the charge will be 1-2 euros per month and we went to thousands of euros per month, »he stressed.
The president of INKA asked the rapporteur of the Southwest a specific question. «I paid 600 euros to a provider. The 400 was an adjustment clause and 200 was electricity. Now what am I going to pay? Even you do not know what to answer me. Because you have brought an amendment, which is in the air and will prove you wrong. That is the reality.».
