No humor or satire was seen by the Aris Portosalte to the lyric of Panos Vlachos “put Adonis and Portosalte in a bag“ sung by the artist during a concert in which he participated in Thessaloniki, but incitement to murder making known his intention to take legal action against the actor and singer.
Speaking on SKAI television, Aris Portosalte initially said that “humour with incitement to murder does not exist, you don't open a dialogue with an instigator of violence. Further we will find out before the Justice”, stressing that “it is anachronistic to say that violence is the midwife of history”.
“One of them urges me to be murdered and I'm supposed to stand by?; We'll go with a lawsuit and a lawsuit and whatever else is provided. I'll hear first and foremost from me and my family...am I being murdered here for my opinions?; The only judge I recognize is God and justice on earth. Someone will come along and say ‘murder him‘ And we're going to leave him like this and not go to justice? Who is he? It is direct targeting [...] It is anachronistic to say that ‘violence is the midwife of history’. The tragedy is that while this man is inciting and encouraging murder, a part of our youth is entertained by the murder. Underneath they are clapping, keeping tempo to this supposed artist. There is a lyric that has an incitement to murder in it,” the journalist then said, who was quick to clarify that he was criticising political figures and giving his views and ideas.
“Do I have to get permission to speak my mind?; To have a left-wing commander come and tell him what I will say every day,” said Aris Portosalte.
