The following is a statement by Mr. Manos Trifyllis after the issue of a joint press release of the Municipal Majority and Minority factions.
A clarification
The proposal for the local urban plan submitted by the municipal majority and main opposition parties is based on the painstaking work of Nikos Magoulas, a member of the opposition.
The mayor's agreement with minor comments does not negate his responsibility to formally invite all elected and local officials to participate meaningfully in the consultation. The municipal majority shows serious inadequacies in areas such as coastal shipping, waste management, the implementation of important projects such as water supply, and, of course, the organization of the consultation on local urban planning.
In conclusion, Zacharias Souris's “All Together“ faction would do well not to protect those who bear the main responsibility!
