Specifically, during a completely peaceful protest by members of the art space for issues related to the sector's survival due to the pandemic and the lack of government support, a police officer, using his shield, struck a woman from behind who was speaking calmly with his superior.
The latest incident, which was captured on camera by bystanders, raises questions about the whether the various preliminary investigations that are announced with great fanfare in such cases are substantive, or are merely for show, since, as the country is accused of internationally, there is a culture of impunity within the Greek police force.
