On September 23, 2024, a motion was filed Official report from the KKE Parliamentary Group to the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports through the Presidium of the Parliament, calling for the immediate response the issue of Merger of Departments at the Kythira High School. At the same time, they emphasize that teacher shortages—which remain severe and persistent—are exacerbating the already difficult situation at the school.
Η Parliamentary Group of the Communist Party of Greece, with the participation of members of parliament Nikos Abatielos, Diamantos Manolakou, ΓYiannis Kioka, Danga Vivi, Semina Digeni, Liana Kanelli, Christos Katsotis, Aphrodite's Combs, Christos Tsokanis, argues for the need for Full staffing of the school with the necessary teaching staff and calls for to prevent the mergers from going ahead, which will undermine the educational process.
