Totally opposed to the possibility of imposing a new horizontal tax lockdown, the Prime Minister appeared, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking at the meeting of the Parliamentary Group of the New Democracy.
The Prime Minister described in an emphatic way the four actions of the government, which are:
- There will be no more lockdown in the country.
- Those who have already been shielded with the vaccine will not be subject to further restrictions, while unvaccinated people will be subject to health checks to protect their health.
- There will be constant reinforcement of the National Health System.
- An effort will be made to strengthen the vaccinations.
In his speech in Parliament, the Prime Minister spoke of the pandemic outbreak and said that we are facing a very powerful fourth wave of the coronavirus.
Mr. Mitsotakis stressed that the vaccine is what makes the difference and leaves the economy open to produce and society functioning and allows the majority of Greeks to be vaccinated and live more freely.
The Prime Minister referred to the 200.000 appointments recently closed for the 1st instalment and in the 300.000 appointments for the third - booster - dose of the vaccine against the Covid 19.
«The third dose is now open for all of us, it is very important that our fellow citizens rush to make it, so that we strengthen the wall of immunity and lead to the decongestion of the National Health System,» the Prime Minister stressed, adding that the personal awareness of each of us should be immediately activated.
«What hurts me more than the wrong view is the wrong pain and the wrong death,» the prime minister stressed, addressing his party's MPs.
And the Prime Minister added:
«We are responding to the latest outbreak with a new wave of vaccination. We still have difficult weeks ahead of us, but there is an optimistic side to reality. In the last few days alone, almost 200,000 appointments have been made for the first dose and almost 300,000 for a booster dose.».
