Stratos Paradias, president of the POMIDA, sent a letter to Christos Staikouras, Adonis Georgiadis, Theodoros Skylakakis, and Apostolos Vesyropoulos, stating that in the expanded list of affected KADs for April:
«The list included not only businesses that were forced to close at that time (restaurants, entertainment venues, gyms, etc.) but also all the hundreds of retail and service businesses due to the general movement restrictions (via SMS, etc.).Today, however, these businesses will remain open as usual! What, then, is the rationale for extending the rent reduction to them as well?».
According to Strato Paradia, «for property owners who lease properties to these companies and those the employees mentioned above, the only positive measure is the future offsetting of the 30% loss against their tax liabilities. No direct subsidy, as would be appropriate, or a reduction in liabilities, facilitation, a settlement or any other immediate relief measure, such as the many others provided for so many other categories taxpayers».
